Creation and the Cross Sermon Series

The Gospel of Jesus Christ begins with the opening words of the Bible. We see immediately that God is the center of everything and that he made all His creation to be good. The apex of his creation was humanity, who was made in the image of the Creator. Humans were designed to be in perfect relationship with God and to be totally like Him in character. However, these blessed creations rebelled against their creator and brought a curse upon the world. Even as the first people rebelled and suffered the consequences for that rebellion, they received grace, and even more grace was promised for the future. Human rebellion grew through the generations bringing punishment from Creator God, but even in the midst of that punishment there were always pictures of salvation and grace. Pictures that reflect the greatest act of grace and salvation that was to come.
