Poetry has a way of transforming how we think and understand the world. The book of Psalms, which is a book of poetry, softens our hearts and transforms us to live a life of intimacy with God. This book takes us through the psalms of lament and the psalms of praise, sometimes addressing both topics in a few verses. This reminds us that lamenting is an important part of intimacy with God. However, we do not need to stay in that place of lament. We can move forward with anticipation as we praise God who has prepared a way for salvation and an eternal kingdom! This book is not just a book of poetry but a book that leads us to the ultimate Deliverer and that is epic! Join us as we cover the Psalms in this new series called, Epic Poetry.
