MISSION STATEMENT


The Mission of Friendship Church is to Love, Live and Serve like Jesus.

At Friendship Church our great desire is to help everyone Love, Live and Serve like Jesus. Your growth is of the utmost importance to us because it is important to God. To help you love, live and serve like Jesus we encourage you to join us in three key areas.


  • Worship Service - We express our love for God.
  • LifeGroups - We grow to live more like Jesus in small communities.
  • Serve Teams - We serve our world and each other with our gifts.

HISTORY OF FRIENDSHIP CHURCH


Friendship Church started as an idea in a Bible study in 1978. The church plant began meeting in the basement of the Scott/Rice Telephone company. Soon, they moved to Westwood Elementary School.
  • August 7, 1979 - Friendship Church was officially registered with the State of Minnesota.
  • March 1981 - Prior Lake Campus opened with much celebration.
  • 1984 - Classrooms and gym were added, and Wednesday night programming began.
  • 1985 - Youth programming expanded.
  • 1989 - Worship attendance outgrew the chapel and was moved to the gym.
  • 1998 - With the growth, discussed the two campus model.
  • 2003 - Shakopee Campus opened.
  • 2018 - Prior Lake Campus remodel completed

HISTORY OF FRIENDSHIP CHURCH

  • November 5, 1978 - The first worship service was held in the basement of the Scott/Rice Telephone company in Prior Lake.
  • August 7, 1979 - Friendship Church was officially registered with the State of Minnesota.
