History of Friendship Church

Friendship Church started as an idea in a Bible study in 1978. The church plant began meeting in the basement of the Scott/Rice Telephone company. Soon, they moved to Westwood Elementary.

• August 7, 1979 - Friendship Church is officially registered with the State of Minnesota
• March 1981 - Prior Lake Campus opened with much celebration
• 1984 - Classrooms and gym were added, and Wednesday night programming began
• 1985 - Youth programming expanded
• 1989 - Worship attendance outgrew the chapel and was moved to the gym
• 1998 - With the growth, discussed the two campus model
• 2003 - Shakopee Campus opened
• 2018 - Prior Lake Campus remodel completed
