The book of Romans is known for its rich teaching. Perhaps no book in the Bible is as deep and clear in the presentation of the gospel and salvation as Paul’s writing to the church in Rome. As we read the first four chapters we are drawn deep into an examination of our sin and shortcoming. But just when we can’t take this bad news anymore, we are introduced to God’s infinitely good and gracious solution, salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. As we spend time with God in these chapters, we will see Him more clearly and recognize his love and justice and how they come together perfectly at the cross.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. - Romans 1:16
