Wave is a two-year period that focuses on growing and reinforcing preteen’s spiritual foundations, especially their Bible skills. Wave also has special events, which give the opportunity to build relationships with one another and with God.

Awana

Awana combines fun and games with Bible memory and lessons that help children understand scripture.

Child Dedication

Quarterly, Both Campuses

A dedication is a covenant by the parents to raise their child in the ways of the Lord until the child is old enough to make his or her own personal commitment. When we choose to have our child dedicated, it gives parents, as well as extended family, friends and the church an opportunity to thank God for the birth of the child.

Parents dedicate their children back to God, asking for His blessing. They promise to nurture their children in a Christian home and environment, and are challenged to guide and teach their children in spiritual development. There is no water involved, and the child is not automatically saved, or in the faith, because of the ceremony. Faith is passed on to our children by helping them develop their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

MOMco

First and Third Tuesdays, 9:30am — Prior Lake Campus, September through May

 

The Mom Community (MOMco) is an international organization founded by seven women with the desire to invite mothers to meet regularly and grow as women, parents, and leaders with the ultimate goal of reaching people with the hope of Jesus.

Here at Friendship Church, we provide child programming, food, and host speakers who present on a range of topics from health and wellness, parenting, boundaries, marriage, and more. This is a time for mothers to come together and feel supported on their faith and parenting journey.

You don’t have to be a mom of littles to get involved, we are always looking for child programming volunteers and mentor moms. Please reach out to Anna Mayer with questions.
